| America is losing the cold war |
The US simultaneously entered a new Cold War with China and Russia. The country is sanctioning all enemies over the question of human rights, while Biden is going to Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia has active issues like Khashoggi, the LGBT ban, and the death penalty continues. In this situation, travelling to Saudi appears to be completely hypocritical.
This kind of hypocrisy indicates that they are being forced to retreat from the values that America has so long sought to establish in the world. That is, something happened that really put US hegemony at risk. After the fall of the "Iron Curtain", three decades of US absolutism are coming to an end.
A series of wars in the Middle East have caused economic disaster. The recession of 2008, the rise of interfaith and racial discrimination within the country, the effects of the opioid epidemic, indiscriminate shootings, the COVID epidemic, the unbearable oil war, and other crises have all appeared to be a blow to America's economic superiority.
America does not want to be displaced. But it is inevitable that China will surpass America in all indicators and indicators economically. China has four times the population of America and its economy has been growing three times faster than America's for many years. In 2015, they surpassed America in PPP capacity.
And, new Cold War fronts were opened well before Russia's Ukraine offensive. Even before the war began, senior US officials warned that attention could not be diverted from China, the real long-term threat. Russia's economy is about the same size as Spain's, although it has oil resources.
But once the war has begun, strategy is needed. The superpower competition cannot be won alone; you need friends and allies. America's natural allies are Europe and the world's advanced democracies. But Trump has destroyed the sincerity of the relationship with them and questioned the fidelity of the US friendship.
At the same time, China has excelled in equipping poor countries with infrastructure, even though these countries are often deeply in debt. In the cold war, victory came through the soft power of attraction and persuasion. The rest of the world to win is not just products; social, political, and economic systems have to be exported.
The US makes the best bombers and missiles, but the world has turned its back on its support. Their lack of attention has destroyed the unity of their main allies—the West. And, the United States is plagued by domestic gun violence, incitement to racism, and protection of women's reproductive rights.
By attacking Ukraine in its leisure time, Russia has plagued the entire world. China has emerged as a social, political, economic, and military superpower.Saudi Arabia has brought the US into the ground with its oil wealth and created for itself a regional superpower and hegemonic ring.
